Tool 4: Google Docs

Uses for teachers:  Google Docs is a great way to have a team of teacher edit a "live" document to share ideas. 

Uses for students: Students can use the same document to collaborate with each other also.

Comments: I have used Google Docs to create surveys.

Tool 3: Dropbox

Dropbox and other virtual archiving application allow teachers to extend instructional time outside the classroom. It also allows for collaboration among teachers, students, and parents.

Tool 3: Copyright

Tool 3: YouTube

This video can be used in the classroom to demonstrate an improper fractions rap. Then you can have students create their own rap song.



YouTube has great science video also. This is just one example of a great science video on energy.

The Scientists - Los Científicos

This PLN is a blog established by the creators of Los Científicos, which is an instructional framework adapted to fit the OWDL program in SBISD. It is a great tool to view strategies to incorporate into the Preview-View-Review instructional model for science.
